Gross.... wash your bags

Just read an article that most people who use reusable bags for their food don't wash them in between uses. In the article they took cultures from multiple used bags and grew a lot of YUCKY bacteria... including E. Coli (that's poop)!!

Just an FYI... wash your bags and keep your healthy food Healthy!!

I guess I could understand it for dry things like cereal or chips, but anything else is just unsanitary. We should be using reusable containers rather than plastic bags anyway =/

This article is talking about the cloth reusable bags... for shopping.

I have a bag specifically for meat, whenever we go shopping it gets washed. We also have reusable ziploc bags for my Son's lunch and even though the site says you can get away with just rinsing them they go through the wash at the end of the week.
