I played basketball and softball throughout my whole life, but now that I graduated last year i'm no longer playing any sports so I started going to the gym. (i'm on a break right now though as I don't have a car, so I won't be able to start again for a couple weeks). But for the cardio I usually go on the elliptical for 20 minutes when I first get to the gym, then do all the strength machines, then do 20 more minutes on the elliptical again at the end. Should I keep on doing that, eventually getting up to 30-40 for each time I go on the elliptical, or should I switch it up and go on the bike for one set, and the elliptical on the other ? I'm really just trying to get the best cardio I can because I have a belly going on and I know cardio is the best way to get rid of belly fat. NOTE: as I put in the title, I cannot use the treadmill because I have flat feet which cause shin splints because of the way I run. I dealt with shin splints all through high school during basketball season and I do not want to go through that again. & yes I go to a foot doctor, I have orthodics (sp?), but they still don't correct the way I run, and my feet still cramp up. So don't give me any information on that, I've been there, done that. Hah thanks.

I have plantars fasciitis and it makes walking running almost impossible, so I feel your pain. To get a good cardio workout now, I use a trampoline. It's easier on my feet. Might be an option for you!

I unfortunately live in an apartment so I can't/don't have a trampoline. When I lived at my mom's house we had a trampoline and I would always go work out on, and sometimes even go tan on it, haha. D: I really wish I still had one. Haha I just realized you're talking about a mini one..hmm I might look into depending on if they're not really over priced since I just go to Planet Fitness and they don't have them there.
