I read in Runner's World that Blueberries are great for runners. When I'm training, I tend to eat a 1/2 cup of blueberries and one banana-mixed together. It is a really good treat! Sweet and tasty.
I have a whole bag of frozen strawberries in my freezer. Are strawberries good for runners in the way that blueberries are?
No, I don't remember why blueberries are beneficial for runners. Thank you in advance!

I just found this, but didn't provide much info:

I don't know much about running but blueberries are considered one of the "super foods". For nutrients, I eat as many fresh as I can because they are not heavy in calories either and tasty. In the summer when they are in season I buy as many as I can and whatever doesn't get eaten fresh, gets washed and dried and then frozen. Lay them all in a single layer on a cookie sheet and freeze, then transfer to a bag. Yummy cool treat on a hot day.
