I finished Power 90 (the precursor to P90X) today and need to decide what program I'll do next. Though I got bored with Power90, it was just in the last week. I like the idea of a structured schedule. Here are my options of the programs I already own:

Turbofire
Chalean Extreme
Insanity (last on my list)
A Jillian Michaels program with 'Banish Fat, Boost Metabolism" and "No More Trouble Zones"
30-day Shred

Any suggestions? I lost almost 40 lbs with Power 90 and still have about 75-80 to lose. For my size, I'm in solid shape, though I don't think I'm ready for Insanity.

Any recommendations?

Insanity is ridiculously hard on the knees/back and soul. I would do Shred and/or p90x before Insanity. I have done both p90x *which I loved and completely changed my body. I did shred and lost some nice inches. I should say I am currently in week 5 of insanity and it is ALOT more cardio than like to do.
  • Hi there, I'm starting out with Insanity and ChaLean from tomorrow. I'm just going to work at it the best that I can do at the level that I can do it. I just feel that if I keep waiting till I'm ready, that'll never happen. So I'm going to bite the bullet lol..... I'm still new to it all and have 60 odd lbs to go.

  • I'm about to try the brazillian butt lift! Can't wait for it to be delivered! :) I must say that when I was in great shape and went to the gym I liked Body Pump @ Gold's...so much fun! Now, the program is out on DVD! It is by Les Mills and called Pump! I did not enjoy, nor complete insanity due to it being too hard on the knees/joints. It's a very extreme program...I sold mine to someone else. Good luck and hope this helps!

My wife really like Chalean Extreme. It adds more variety to the workouts than Power 90. You will not get bored with them. It is less intense than P90X and much less intense than Insanity. Chalean Extreme is a good mix of both resistance and cardio work, like an expanded version of Power 90. TurboFire is pretty much all cardio with only a couple mild resistance workouts. It also is faster paced and needs a good amount of coordination to get all the kicks, punches, etc. moves down.

Les Mills PUMP! The trainers are really motivating, and the workout is challenging, but not insane. There is a good variety of workouts as well.
