One of the best things that MFP has helped me dig out of storage is my love of running. I was a track and cross country runner in high school. I also had to run a lot while in the Navy, so I have a decent base, but I got out of it for quite a while.

I started MFP back in September, but got serious about running again in October. Back at the beginning of October, I did a 4.1 mile run, and remember struggling to eek out just under a 12:00/mile pace. And part of that was walking.

This afternoon (during a half-marathon training run), I ran 4.4 miles. And my pace today? 8:49.

Not bragging. Just showing an example of how with hard work, you can do it too.

The 50 pound drop had to help a bit as well :)
