I am on a 1200 calorie diet and exercise and burn atleast 150-300 calories a day. I usually still only eat my 1200 calories... Anybody have any thaughts on this.. Also my protein is always over, is that a bad thing???

  • No its not bad to have your protein over. It is almost impossible to eat too much protein. 1200 Calories seems really low. But as long as you have energy and don't feel bad then go for it. Good luck to you on your journey.

it's not impossible to eat to much protein. Protein has calories just like the other macros.

extra protien is fine. I only eat back exercise calories if i am hungry. If I am hungry I only eat some back, not all of them. If i am not hungry, I don't. Just listen to your body.

eat the exercise calories if you're hungry, over on protein is just fine, MFP levels are set low. been really hungry lately so been averaging 1500-2000calories and still losing weight if that's any help to you

I'm also doing 1200 calories a day but I try to eat at least half my exercise calories back. Since I have started doing that I seem to be losing the weight a little faster. I don't get it done every day though since sometimes I'm just not hungry and I have a hard time forcing myself to eat.

I generally don't eat my exercise calories back, if I've done a decent job with my meals during the day I'm not hungry. But it is nice to grab a tiny cheat snack here and there and know it's not killing your day :D

MFP had me at 1200 but I upped it to 1300. I'm trying to eat most of the exercise calories back. Cardio machines are often inaccurate so I figure if eat some calories back, then I'm good.
