Question regarding daily / weekly calorie 'targets'

Opologies if this has been covered before, I couldn't see a post on this. I've been using the app & diary for 3 weeks and my weight (more importantly) my fat stomach has remained exactly the same. Question is -: my daily intake of calories fluctuates, sometimes over and sometimes under the1500 recommended calories. However, I'm under the target at the end of the week once all the days calories are added together. Should I expect to see weight loss on that basis?

Thanks in advance!

    Bumping for you.

If you are looking at weekly totals, I think it might be something like 3500 calories for a 1-lb loss, but I'm not certain.

basically the answer is 'yes' - if you go under/over one day, and the opposite another - yes it all evens out

I look at the weekly info a fair bit

so a few thoughts - you may have set your activity level too high, and you are not burning as many calories as you thought (i haven't looked at your profile), you may be underestimating your portion size/calories (very easy to do!) or you may be retaining a lot of water (especially if you are eating a lot of processed food and salt, or with women, across the cycle)

the usual one is portion size I am sorry to say

having said all this - I would personally aim to lose at a more gradual, and sustainable/enjoyable level than 1500 (before excercise). but you have to find what works for you
