Has anyone done this, is it possible? I will be getting an elliptical in a couple weeks and I am also interested in the C25K program. I worry about the impact on knees and ankles, which is why I decided to get an elliptical instead of a treadmill.

If you're not planning on actually running a 5K , I wouldn't see why not. Couch2 5K is like interval training to get you to be able to run for 30 consecutive minutes. So you would just go at a slower pace for the walk session & increase for the run. Interval training is a good workout.

I thought about it too if my shins wouldn't allow me to do the program on a treadmill...but so far I've been doing OK on a treadmill.

    Hope that helps???

I'm a little late to this post but I just wanted to let you know that I am doing the c25k on my elliptical. I am currently on day 2 of week 2. I don't expect to be able to run a 5 k outside once I'm done but I needed to start somewhere. I figure if I complete it on the elliptical I can move on to outdoors once the weather is nicer. For someone who has never been a runner, I can't expect too much too quick. I'm happy with progress, period.
