Hello everyone ! I'm a 18 year old, 5'4 and 155-160 pounds. I was wondering how much should I approximately eat to lose weight? I was thinking about eating 1700 calories + exercise everyday to lose weight.

My history -
- Used to be 140 pounds, 5'2 - 5'3
- Dropped down to 95 pounds
- Forced to gain weight (MOM) --> More eating --> increased sensation of hunger --> More eating x 3 --> crying ---> eating ---> habit ---> 160 pounds ='( and still trying to control my eating habits.

I tried to control my eating and would succeed on day's of exercise. If I skipped a day of exercise I would relapse into the whole eating like there was no tomorrow for like a week. So this time I can't take a break of exercise. This is what I plan on doing:

Sunday - Zumba
Monday - 30 min walk/run - weights legs
Tuesday - 30 min walk/run - weights upper body
Wednesday - Body Jam
Thursday - Body combat
Friday - Zumba
Saturday - 30 min walk/run - weights legs

and then increase and mix it up every month. How's that?

You just need to set up your MFP and it will tell you how many calories to eat. Then when you work out, log the calories burned.

Too much activity. Either do Zumba or run/walk don't do both. More is not better. For women to target fat in the thighs, I would suggest walking. This is what I would do:

    Sunday - 30 min walk
    Monday - weights legs
    Tuesday - 30 min walk
    Wednesday - weights upper body
    Thursday - Body combat
    Friday - weights legs
    Saturday - REST

On the walking days, you may want to reduce your calories by reducing carbs to 50g or so.
  • First off 1200 calories is the bare minimum everyone should eat so don't ever go below that number. Second of all I was in the same exact situation you were before & have done the impossible. All I did was learn the basics of how our bodies work & implemented on myself. What I found really useful is a calorie calculator(I use the one on http://www.fatcuda.com) since I didn't have to calculate how many calories I should be eating every time my stats changed.

MFP will tell you how much to eat if you put in all your info. You need to have a rest day at least once per week, and with the amount of exercise that you do, and the fact that you dont have a huge amount of weigh tto lose i would reccommend that you eat back your exercise cals.
