You call that a "mentor"???

My husband started a new job driving trucks. He was gone for 4 days before his "mentor" kicked him out of the truck in Oregon because Dustin did not share this guys religious beliefs. The guy also called him a failure because we haven't been married long, have no kids, and do not own our own home or business.

Seriously, this guy was a level 3 mentor, you'd think he'd have met all types of people by now and know that for 6 weeks, you can put up with the small talk!

He couldn't reach anyone at the company that night to see what the next step was (maybe best so he had time to cool down) and we got him a plane ticket home...As of now they are saying the mentor's actions do not affect his job and they are looking at reimbursing him for plane and hotel...but seriously, that leaves a bad first impression.

Does this so called mentor own a business and if so, why is he driving a truck? I am not a sue happy person and I do believe in God, but this better not affect your husband's job (it SHOULD affect the mentor's) or they need a trip to court. ridiculolus. Maybe you don't have kids yet cause that's not God's plan for you yet, did that ever occur to that guy? Now I'm mad...

That was our question too! I owned his own company like 30 years ago...maybe his staff kept quitting because he's not a "people person" hahah

I guess that's why some people drive trucks... they are by themselves away from people.

Sorry to have such a horrible work experience so quickly. I would see how the employer handles the situation to see if it's worth staying with this company. I know jobs are scarce as well so hopefully you guys end up ok.
