Question on Protein Intake

I find myself staying under daily in terms of calories, carbs and fat. However, I'm frequently over on protein. Will that be a problem in my weight loss journey? I focus on foods high in fiber, but find myself eating a lot of protein as well. Any insight or suggestions will be truly appreciated. Thanks

Nothing wrong with that, thats what you should be doing, eating less carbs and more protein. It helps build muscle which helps burn more fat. I love carbs so its so hard for me to do it.0 -
Being over in protein is fine. If you're exercising too you should take in about 1 to 1.5g of protein per pound of body weight.0

My doc wants me to get at LEAST 100g of protein a day. ☺ Plus I never get hungry when I'm eating enough protein. Good luck!0

Taken from Livestrong:
"The dietary reference intakes from the Food and Nutrition Board for fats, proteins and carbohydrates are ranges. For adults, proteins should be between 10 and 35 percent of the diet, fats between 20 and 35 percent and carbohydrates between 45 and 65 percent.

Personally, I shed the bulk of my weight with approximately 50%carb / 25%fat / 25%protein. I had the opportunity to meet with a nutritionist as a part of a prize for a contest I won and she said that ratio tends to work well for most people on average for sustainable weight loss (tends not to work as quickly as restrictive diets but is easier to maintain and also ensures you are getting all of the nutrients your body needs), but different bodies do react differently.
She also said that if you are trying to increase lean muscle mass, which is now my goal, you should increase your protein to at least 35%. I did that and now tend to have around 40-45%carbs / 20-25%fat / 35% (sometimes a little more) protein.
It works for me, but you will have to figure out what works best for your own body.0
