if you do reward yourself how often and what are your rewards?

I'm going to reward myself when i've lost 10 pounds and with getting my ears pierced (well redone as they have closed up)
i would like to do something for every 10 i lose.

I think the loss is a reward in itself, but in reality, I probably go shopping for clothes after about 10lbs lost. Some of that is necessity and some of it is just plain fun.

My rewards are registering for half marathons.

Actually, I'd do them anyway, but they're a good reason to stay focused. And I have usually lost weight in between them. Maybe not always 10 pounds, but something.

I reached the 2 stone mark today (28lbs) which is also half way! I really enjoyed my reward of a McDonald's! Not healthy but yum! As long as it is moderate - I had fillet of fish plus fries and a diet coke (medium meal) and it was fabulous! I then did an hour turning compost so burnt of a couple of hundred calories!

Every ten pounds down I get a massage! Very relaxing and feels good! When I hit 200 pounds, going to get a tattoo with the cube from hell raiser with 320 in the center. 320 was my start weight. I never want to be that big again, and the tattoo will remind me what a prisoner to my weight I was.

Yes I like to reward myself with hair products, accessories, makeup etc...basically the things I like. No set schedule.

When I start getting into the 130's and 120's I'll reward with clothes.

    Definitely.

Mine went every 20 pounds. Manicure, massage, jewelery (at the hundred mark) Different hairstyle and color. Just odd little things I normally did not do for myself.

It does help to have things set up in advance for goal rewards.

I have rewards planned for different targets. Because I have so much to lose it's not as frequent as every 10lbs, but the rewards vary from new hair extensions, upgraded makeup, a pair of shoes, new underwear, finishing off a tattoo, getting my eyebrows waxed and, ultimately, a pair of skinny jeans!
I'm wanting to lose 125lbs which is a massive haul. I'd love to say I could keep myself on track just by losing lbs and decreasing in inches but I don't think that would be enough to keep me motivated. It might seem materialistic but the treats are keeping me in line and I'd recommend it to anyone who's possibly struggling with willpower and determination.

    xo
  • i am going to start "awarding" myself for each 10lb I loose once I first loose 20...then 10lbs presents for me! :)
  • Yes! I go to the consignment shops and Salvation Army and get me more clothes! That way, I dont spend too much. Sometimes I cant find any clothes, but a purse or shoes.

I reward myself at every 10lb weight loss too :).. i save money in a pot untill i have reached a mini goal of loosing 10lbs. then i go out and spend it on all sorts of things - clothes, make up, dvd's, cd's have a new tattoo. etc etc :) its great :D
  • When I reach my ideal size, I am gonna go on a SHOPPING SPREE! Hehe :) The last time I enjoyed shopping for clothesn= was years ago, when I was slim
