happy birthday to me.....

my neighbour brought over a home made cake....
One of the girls at the bus stop gave me a cupcake.....
The mother of one of the kids i babysit for just brought over a LARGE blizzard...
my mom brought me over a lemon mirangue pie and some flowers....

i think i just threw up in my mouth a little....

    but everyone else said to me ... we know your on a diet but its your birthday so i figured you deserve a treat.... blah

    my 13 year old is eating the blizzard.... home made cake for snack for my daycare kids... i already ate the cupcake.... now only the lemon mirangue pie to worry about :laugh: :sick: :noway:

    Happy Birthday to you!!!! Maybe you can dish out some of the cakes and goodies to your friend and mother, then slice up everything into tiny, small individual pieces and put it it the freezer. This way you don't hurt anybody's feelings. You can always tell them you're going to freeze it so it doesn't go stale. I've been known to do that and then forget about them, then they get freezer burn and I have to throw them out. Hey, whatever works.

    I know how yu feel though, tomorrow is our son's 1st Birthday Party and there will be A HUGE cake and lots of food and booze in our house!!! don't know how i'm going to get through the day!!

    hahahaha there are days when I feel like stapling that sign to myself. Why does healthy eating seem to trigger everyone's need to bring me snacks???

    great job resisting temptation...better the cupcake than the whole homemade cake! one more way to look at it...at least they didn't forget!
