Opinions on the accuracy

Of this calculator, I used it and it approximated that I burnt around 2300 calories a day! Bjut MFP has my maintainence at 1700 :/

    well to be able to judge which is closer (we'll never know the actual expenditure) it takes many variables. And you gave us non LOL

    It probably uses the Harris Benedict equation under the covers, and that generally gives a very good ballpark from what I've found. The main reason for the discrepancy between HB and MFP is that MFP attempts to factor out exercise from the equation, and then expects you to add it back in as you work out. So if you were to exercise off about 500 cals a day, it would get you to the same place. 1700 + 500 = 2300

    You're right, I'm sorry. I'm 5'5, 115 pound, 18 years old, Female.
    I have never been sure of my activity. I'm a student so I sit in classes, but I have 3 hour rehearsals in which I'm minimally standing the whole time (I do have to dance some, walk some, acting stuffs.) and I walk between classes, during my labs and science classes I stand the whole time. So basically I stand a lot, but I still am unsure of my activity.
