Question #1 I can't understand why MFP says my projected weight loss is 0.7 pounds a week. I have put in I want to lose 2 pounds a week. MFP is saying that I need to eat 1,200 calories a day and with 30 minutes of working out for 5 days that I will only lose 0.7 pounds a week. No matter what exercise I put in,
MFP never projects me to lose even a pound a week. What am I doing wrong????
Question #2 Can men do the 30 day shred??

What are your stats? You may be too small for two lbs a week. That is only for very large people. Slow is better.0

because in order for you to actually lose 2 lbs/week you would need to eat less than 1200 calories, which MFP will not set. 1200 is the lowest they will set because thats generally the lowest amount anyone should net. they also dont factor your exercise into your daily goal until you add it..so technically you would need to eat 1200 + whatever you burned through exercise to lose 0.7/week
If you have 75+ lbs to lose 2 lbs/week is ideal,
If you have 40-75 lbs to lose 1.5 lbs/week is ideal,
If you have 25-40 lbs to lose 1 lbs/week is ideal,
If you have 15 -25 lbs to lose 0.5 to 1.0 lbs/week is ideal, and
If you have less than 15 lbs to lose 0.5 lbs/week is ideal0 -

My home > Goals
the last line in the right column is "projected weight loss" but for those of us with "appropriate for our size' goals, it will magically be at the 1lb per week or 2 lbs per week we've selected.
Others have covered the rest quite sufficiently.
Regardless of what your "planned" exercise is it doesn't affect your projected weight loss as you don't get credit on MFP for your exercise until you do it and log it.0
