1. Do knee ups while you wait for the copier to warm up, or while you are waiting for a fax.
2. On your way to the bathroom, take a lap around the office.
3. Every time you go to the rest room, do 10 wall pushups.
4. If you have stairs, take them! Have an extra 5 minutes? Take them twice!
5. Stand up and do 10 bicep curls at your desk.
6. On break, walk around your building, or go up and down the stairs.
7. After lunch, do 25 squats
8. When you go to the store after work, park in the back of the parking lot
9. While waiting in line, balance on one leg
10. While driving home do 10 mini crunches at each light
I did all of these today, and feel like I am stronger and healther for it!
Have a great day!!:flowerforyou:

Are there any things you do throughout the day to add a few extra steps in??0

I always park at least a block away from work? That's how I get my extra work in.0

I walk in place and do mini leg lifts (front, side and back) when standing in line. And I don't care if it does look silly. I also practice tightening and holding abdominals while driving, standing in line or sitting at the computer. Also, various Isometric stretch and holds while sitting anywhere. Good for toning! Last, but not least, when commercials come on the TV; I get up and walk in place, stretch and any other moving type exercise I can think of, until the show comes back on. It works!0

When waiting for the bus I do toe taps or a slow type march in place and it's also a good idea to get off the bus a stop before or after yours for the extra walk0

I like to do some stretching at my desk a couple times a day if I remember. Sit as tall as you can, and then try to sit taller while deep breathing. Great for stretching and also stress reduction. Also, check out the 2 minute stretch program: http://ergonomics.about.com/od/treatmentprevention/ss/essentstretches.htm0

OOh OOH KRisti!!! Along these lines. I was at PT last night and the therapist told me to do this one at my desk
Sit all and push you shoulders down with your lats (those back muscles under the wings) It takes a few times to get it but you KNOW when you do because the traps and neck release with sweet relief!.
I stood and practiced and I could feel the back muscles pulling down and back on the neck and traps. So simple, so good!!
Thanks for reminding me of this one. Sit all and deep beating someone........uh I mean breathing.....0 -

When I was sitting in my meeting I was liting my legs straight in front of me under the table and then lifting just a bit. 50 of those and you really start to feel it.
I didnt ask the GM if he could see me doing it or not!! LOL0
