I am looking for a buddy to do the 7-day cabbage soup diet with me...any takers? Claims you can lose 7-10 pounds in the week! :indifferent:

Is that back?!! If you want to starve yourself for a week, at least do it on a balanced diet. Drinking cabbage soup every day may make you lose weight [temporarily], it will also make you bloated and gassy. And as soon as you resume eating food, you will probably regain the weight.
Basically, any crash diet will enable you to lose several pounds the first week, provided you've been eating crap up until then. If you've been eating a healthy, balanced diet, you will not lose a significant amount on a crash diet.
But regardless, the sudden weight loss attributable to crash diets consists of fluid. Once you resume eating, the weight comes back. It is not possible to lose 7-10 pounds of FAT in one week.0 -
Oh man my mom used to do this like once every six months when I was growing up. Spoiler: she'd lose about 10 pounds each time. Gain back 12.0

Sorry to hate...but diets are a joke. It's a quick fix that is not permanent. Try adjusting your calories if you want to drop. Eat better this week than you did last week. Eliminate your "trigger" food. You can do this and you dont need 30 gallons of soup to do it either! It took time to pack on weight, it will take time to get it off.0

Its diets like this ( and yes THIS one exactly) That my grandmother had me do when I was a teen, her way of teaching me how to lose weight that helped me get to the nice 335 pounds I USED to be. Do it the right way, the healthy way (Hint: This is not it)0
