  • I'm starting today as well. I took many pictures so I can see my transformation clearly. I will be doing it everyday, 10 days per level! Also following a strict diet and logging everything!

I've just ordered a copy of the DVD - I'm going to try and do it at least once or twice a week (Is there a, not a limit as such, but as long as you do it over 30 days?) - as I'll be doing spin classes twice a week as well, and possibly (if I can fit it in) using my Kinect with Fitness Evolved maybe once a week, I'll carry on logging my food as normal though.

Also, can any recomend a weight limit, as I see you can use weights with this programme, I do have a set, but they're only 2.5kg each, do you think that'd be ok to start with?

I know I've been trying to lose weight for some time, but I havent taken any "before" pictures, so maybe, when I get this DVD I may actually take some, and see if I can notice any difference!

I'm on day 5 of level 1. I hate Jillian while I'm doing it LOL & especially after watching it so many times, I'm tired of hearing her say the same crap over & over so I've taken to yelling at her to shut the F* up when my legs or arms are burning & I'm trying to push through LOL. It does suck while you're doing it, but when you feel the burn you know it's working & you feel good about that. Plus, it's only 20 minutes so it does tend to go by pretty quickly. I know this has already been answered, but I log it as 20 mins circuit training.
  • Level one is really hard on the knees. So just be careful. I averaged about 220-250 every 27 minutes workout (including streching).

Are you supposed to rest any of the days or just go 30 days with no rest?
I believe you should rest, especially when your muscles are really sore from the weights. And I have seen people post here that Jillian has since been quoted as saying it wasn't meant to be done for 30 days straight, and she was surprised that people were doing that. But I haven't read or heard that directly from her, so it's second hand info. :) But at least one day of rest is good.

    Thanks Amy!!

I wanted to take the day off the 3rd day because my legs were so sore, but someone told me I should push through it, so I did & I actually started to feel better after that. I think if it's just soreness, work through it, but if it's pain, stop!!

Did day 8 of level 1 today. Took yesterday off because Sundays are my 'day off' other than that plan to do it every day but Sunday until I have done 10 days @ each level.

One thing I would say about the Shred - the stretching at the end isn't anywhere near long enough! All the training I've ever done asks that you stretch for at least 30 seconds in each static stretch at the end of a training session, whereas Jillian does about 5. I tend to ignore the cooldown and do my own combined with some pilates stretches instead.

It's a great little workout - gets me so much sweatier than any of the others I've tried. Beats the pants of Davina!

The first time I did it I had to take three days off before I could do it again - so. stinkin. sore! I could barely move for two days, still super sore the third. But yeah, for soreness, listen to your own body for sure - if you're so sore you groan when you move, and try to move as little as possible, your muscles need a break! LOL If it's not that bad, push through, stretch really well before and after and keep at it!

I am starting today with a couple friends. I just got a HRM for my birthday, so I am anxious to see what it says I burn. I normally log it as circuit training. I did it last month for about 17 days in a row then our power was out due to a storm for 3 days, so I am ready to do it for the full 30 days in a row :)

I only started on Sunday but have been using 2.5kg. I have heard people say that to begin with you should use 3lb but I already have 5's. It hurts, but I am sure it will be worth it! I need to build up my strength as I use my upper body a lot in other sports

I did feel sick after I finished last night, it was my first day of level one. I did shred half way through last year and felt the same for the first few days. I think it depends how fit you are, I'm obviously not that fit at all hahah. Trust me it will pass after couple of days, I bearly managed to finish it last night but pushed through. by the day 7 or so level one will be so easy you will want to move on to level 2.

I started the 30 day shed yesterday also, I felt sick to my stomach afterwards. I think it was because i am so out of shape. I am looking forward to keeping it up for the next 30days. I just need to stay focus, and thinks this is a great way to start out with exercise since it is only 20 minutes. I will keep everyone updated on my progress. If anyone is looking for friends on here please add me. I don't have anymore and need to keep the motivation up, so any support would be great. Thanks

did day 2 after running almost 4 miles last night... calves and thighs hurt so bad couldn't do any of the squats or lunges but did all of the abs/strength.. and some of the cardio since i already ran a bunch. lol
  • I started on Monday - was embarrassing that I could barely make it through Level 1 the first day - yesterday was day 2 and I noticed a bit of an improvement - looking forward to seeing results in the next two weeks or so. Is that a realistic expectation?
  • Right with you there! It did feel a little easier....but it was still difficult!
  • I am on day 4 and I love it!! Still sore from day 1, lol. I use a HRM for the calories and it's great!

I plan on starting it today. I also plan to still do my hour of cardio at the gym, then come home and do this. Hoping it's going to work.

i live in ireland and its not available here so i have to order it online just wondering is it worth it ???
Absolutely worth it. I've done Supreme 90 Day and although I saw results, they were not as fast as I saw with 30 Day Shred. I finished Level 1 Day 10 today. Tomorrow I start Level 2.
