Carbs vs Fat

Just wondering b/c i have 2 different books that give 2 different plans. One says to eater lower carbs while the other says to eat only 20-25 % fat. This plan encourages more carbs. Which do you all focus on lowering or do you focus on both?

I don't look at either. My goal so far has been to get my calories and sodium under control. I try to make better food choices but don't dwell on carbs, fat, protein, etc. It's worked for me so far.0

depends on what you are doing. Everyone is different. Everyone has their own tolerance to carbs, so everyone should tweak the MFP plan to fit their own needs. Essentially what I usually say is, use the generic goals that MFP gives you, let that work for about 2 months, then decide whether it's right for you, if you think it's not, you can tweak after that by customizing your goals. The thing is, you need to give it time to work, if you tweak it, then only give it 2 weeks, you aren't really giving your body time to change, so make sure you give yourself about a month each time you tweak.0

. I'm so impatient that a month makes me cringe. (Though i know you're right:) I think that's why i have not had much success. as soon as something stops working or slows down, i'm ready to try something new.
How long did it take you to lose your weight and how much was it?
