I love getting tips through MFP Success Stories. One tip from this weekend was NOT to eat your activity points. So, that is MY plan TODAY! Anybody interested in joining me? I have 556 calories for dinner tonight...but, who's counting! LOL!!

Hi
I'm getting confused with eating activity cals or not. When I don't it comes up that my body might go in starvation mode as eating too few calories. I've been eating mine, started 3d and down 5lbs which is great I know 1lb a week. But after reading this I may not use them mon, tues, wed, thurs and let myself use them at weekends to see if it makes a difference or not 1.5 per week.
I am back to a weight that I find easy to maintain without exercise, but really want to lose another 8-10lbs to bring me under the next stone down. Started C25k and am on week 6 day 1 tomorrow so hoping taking up running will speed the weight loss as well.
Can you let me know if not eating the cals burned makes a difference to you guys,
Thanks

For me, I have to eat them back otherwise I'm starving and feel faint. There's no way I can eat 1200 calories a day and do any workout, especially Insanity which I'm currently doing.0

I agree! It's nice to have them if I AM hungry..if not, then hey, good for me!0 -
I am currently at 1,900 net calories per day so I have yet to need to eat my exercise calories but I have also had days where I am 800 under my net caloric goal (ex. Today I have eaten breakfast, lunch and a couple snacks and am still 1518 calories below my goal because I added 800+ calories from cardio). I am just worried that not eating my suggested net caloric intake will put my body in starvation mode. I used to eat 1,400+ calories in a single meal so that is a major concern since my body was used to so much surplus energy.
I love the though of increased weight loss from not eating the exercise calories though!0
