So look at my current profile picture. It's the packaging for some snack-size peaches that I picked up, making sure they said "No Sugar Added." I did not notice what was underneath that until I opened one up and started eating them....

Now, I'm one of those people who can taste aspartame and most other artificial sweeteners, and I don't like 'em! I'd prefer a little bit of ol' fashioned sugar over the fake stuff, or just none at all! And that's what I thought I was getting - peaches, no sugar or nothing. I understand something in there as a preservative, but I felt the sweetener was unnecessary, since peaches are naturally sweet and delicious. Guess I gotta stop talking with my mama while grocery shopping so I can pay more attention.

End rant.

Geesh! Spleda is just about everywhere anymore. And it's no better than aspartame! Stupid artificial sweeteners. *grumble

Totally agree! If I have to use a sweetener for something I use Stevia or agave nectar...but even Stevia has a bit of that fake sugar after taste :(
