In the start of Jan I had friends tell me they were having a party on 2/18. Well I set a goal for 15 pounds (I wanted people to look at me and could tell I was losing weight), Finally today (6 days early) I hit 171.5, eaxactly 15 pounds! I am so excited and thrilled. I know its a small vicotry and I am only 1/3 of the way there but already my size 16's dont fit, my size 14's are a tad loose and the size 12's are fitting better and better (still a bit of a squeeze though). my pudgy belly is practically gone and my thighs dont rub together when i walk now! It's amazing how BIG of a differece 15 pounds makes ...I cant wait to hit my goal and see what kind of difference 45 pounds is!

Wonderful job! If you want it to hit home, pick up two 8 lbs hand weights (16 lbs, I know, but it's close) and walk around with them for a bit. You'll never go back! Congratulations!0

Anyone that wants to see exactly how much they have lost can try my little esteem building trick. The next time you are in the grocery store, get a cart and go to the dairy aisle first. Find the butter. If you have lost 10 pounds, put 10 packages of butter in your cart. If you have lost 20... put 20. THAT is how much fat is no longer hitching a ride on your body!
Now put the butter back. Tee hee.0 -
:flowerforyou: Yay! That is a great victory all around! I wish you continued success on your journey!0

Zrebeth, great thought. When I lost my first 10 lbs awhile ago I went to the grocery store and grabbed a 10lb sack of potatoes. I carried it around the produce department and put it back. It was amazing at how much weight that really is.0

That made me laugh thinking about putting a ton of butter in my cart just to take it out. It is a good point though. I know at a session I went to the facilitator held up just one lb of butter to show how much it is in size. I think about this when I only lose a lb a week now. A lb is a lot.0
