Hey, I am new to this site and am thoroughly ready to use it to my advantage. I have tried to lose weight before to no avail. This time I am committed and I believe in myself. I joined a circuit training class and have begun to engage in many physical activities like yoga, walking, dancing, and playing soccer. I am a vegetarian and I eat well. I no longer snack at night and am abstaining from pasta [my biggest vice!!]. I have lost 8 lbs in the past 2 weeks and am starting the cabbage soup diet Wednesday [Feb 15th]. I hope to lose 7-12 lbs on the cabbage soup diet so that I can have a little more energy back.
I hope to make as many friends on this site as possible. Losing weight can be a battle and I'd like to have some motivational buddies. I hope that I can meet someone who finds me to be motivational as well!
I am trying to lose 30 lbs! Wish me luck, and, add me if you want a motivational buddy.

If you are losing weight with what you are already doing, why do the cabbage soup diet? It just sounds like a recipe for frustration to me. If you're doing it as some sort of cleanse, you can get the same effects by drinking extra water. If you have too few calories you're not going to get more energy.
Just some food for thought.
Good luck!0 -
I'd like to lose extra weight quicker. Just like every dieter, I want to shed lbs. The main objective with the cabbage soup diet is to shrink my stomach. I am accustomed to eating too much food. I hope to train both my mind and body to desire/need less food. I've been actively meditating to cleanse my mind of intrusive obsessive food thoughts. I eat tons of vegetables daily; so I don't see how frustrating the diet could be. You are right about the energy comment... but I truly believe if I had a little less bloat/stomach weight I could cultivate more energy through exercise and such. The diet only last 7 days so I am giving it a shot. I do not see how it could hurt. By the way, you eat more than just soup on the cabbage soup diet.0

If you can be a vegatarian (I can't), then you should be able to make some small changes to get the weight off and keep it off. Good luck!0

Well, I have been a vegetarian for a year now. I haven't lost much weight but I lost an inch or 2 in certain places. My biggest problem was eating out of boredom and midnight snacking. I'd go all day without eating much and binge at night. I have cut myself off from eating/drinking by 9 pm. I'd like to scale it down to 7 pm... but my circuit training course that I take 2x/week doesn't even get out until 7 and I like to eat dinner afterwards. Since I have stopped eating after dinner I have already lost 8 lbs... and its only been 2 weeks! So I think you are right, I will probably keep it off this time.0
