Tell your husband that guys like me are hitting on you. LOL0

Good. Let him keep thinking that way. More beautiful, attractive, witty, and interesting women for us real men to interact with and share in the fitness & health journey.0

Maybe you can challenge him to try it for 30 days? You never know, he might get hooked!0

I couldn't disagree more. It was MFP that helped me lose that last 10 pounds when nothing else seemed to work. That was six months ago, and I've kept it all off. Tracking my diet and exercise on this site was one of the bast calls I've made in a while. When it comes to weight loss and staying healthy I think people should do whatever works for them - - on the other hand, I don't know how I could have accomplished what I have without the accountability that comes with maintaining a journal. Not to mention that there are some really great people here!0

*Checks pants*
Nope, not just for girls.
Ahahahahahahahahahahah0 -
He's either ignoring the facts and using that 'girls only' mentality as an excuse, or he hasn't really understood the facts.
I'm a guy and I lost 16 kg's using this site. This is not a gender specific site - it's a health site. Any person who wants to actively investigate ways to lose weight will be able to see this. He mustn't want it enough.0 -
Just make him read this post: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/488745-guy-question-about-workout-side-effects ...0

MFP is for anyone who wants to lose weight and start living a healthier lifestyle. It most certainly isn't "just for girls." It is for everybody. Do you have any male friends on MFP? Maybe you should show your boyfriend those friends and maybe he will understand that it is not just girls. Also, there seems to be a large number of males who are are responding to your post. Maybe you can show him all the men who had responded to your post and see what they say and maybe he might be convinced to incorporate MFP to help him develop healthy habits.0

I'm with some of the others that think he is just making an excuse.
I know a lot of guys on MFP.0 -
Here is my before and after and I owe a lot of my success to this website...ask him if he really thinks this is just for girls.

Sneak healthy things into his diet. Go for "romantic" walks together or go shopping but park far away from the store or walk around a mall.
'Cuz guys love romantic walks and shopping at the mall? Whaddaya think guys? More romantic walks and mall shopping? (Sorry. I couldn't resist. LOLOL)0 -
he's probably about the same overweight as I was before I started MFP (40 or so pounds overweight) and since I've lost almost 15 pounds, I'm trying to get him to do it too and he keeps telling me "that's for girls"
It's really annoying because I want him to be healthy. He's already got back problems and has trouble sleeping.
Sounds like an excuse to me. He may not be ready to commit.0 -
Hey, it's cool. I'm single. Not that I'm hitting on you or anything, but it's cool. He doesn't need to know...

Sweetie, you are so much the cutest, but you hit on all the girls. Have a little pride honey!! :flowerforyou:0 -
MFP is where the fierce folks hang out....but your boyfriend just isn't ready to go on his own healthy journey. He has to make the decision for himself. If he does, perhaps then he will take interest in all the awesomeness that is MFP.0

As much as I would like my husband to get on MFP or any program for that matter...he has to be the one to decide it is time. Shoot no one could have told me to do so. I do try to avoid enabling....by not purchasing unhealthy things to put in the cupboards or fridge.0

He's making an excuse to avoid tackling the problem. I couldn't have achieved my goal without MFP. And I make no bones about admitting that.0
