Here I am. One year later. By last July I had lost 40 pounds and was sailing, then I did a contract out of state and ate everything. The stress, I don't know. I got back and thought I was doing well but lately have had some slip ups. Now I've gained back 24 of those pounds (at least). Is there hope? I still work out several times a week, it's just the sweets. I wish I could let go. Why do I go to Safeway for mushrooms and come out with Mother's cookies without even thinking about it? Is O/A right about me? I quit because I thought none of them really wanted to lose weight, that they were just nurturing the problem, and when I suggested I wasn't a food addict they just nodded and grinned. Everyone says that. If I could reduce carbs to a minimum I'd be so happy.

Supermarkets have specialists who design a layout that MAKES you want to buy crap you don't need! Same with junk food packaging.
It's easy to give into temptation I try and do a lot of my shopping online and get it delivered. If I have to o into a shop I do it after lunch or dinner when I'm not hungry!
It's hard to stay motivated sometimes. Especially when you don't think people around you are supportive (I have similar issue with my family. I'm the subject of all the fat jokes and I think they're expecting me to give up)

I presume you live alone. Can you get a relative to maybe pickup some groceries until you can stay away from sweets long enough to break the craving cycle? Keep logging what you eat. Even if it's over your goal. No matter what. If you can print each day out and sit down to see exactly where you are going wrong. Your serious about losing weight right? Oh, pick up those mushrooms at a small local store. Their sweet stuff is too expensive to buy there.
Get yourself organized. You mentioned God in your profile. Put the burden on him. He can take it. Hang in there.:drinker:

If your intention is to leave sweets behind so you can lessen (maybe kill) those cravings, just take it one day at a time, and keep fighting it. You'll find lots of tips here from others who have traveled and are traveling the same path. Others prefer to find healthier versions of the foods they really love; in that case you can get great tips in the Recipes section and from healthy dessert blogs like http://chocolatecoveredkatie.com/. Good luck!0
