Running Shoes Suggestions

Hey everyone,

When hubby gets back from his training camp, we're going to go as a couple and buy running shoes. I'm more of a walker than a runner right now, but he runs. I want to be able to run with him; Couch to 5K is my next step. When I try on shoes I feel like the ones I like have more padding, and I like the feeling of high firm arch support for my high arches. Husband on the other hand has the flattest feet I've seen in my life.

Do you have suggestions on what keywords I should be looking for, what price range is reasonable, what brands to look at (or avoid)? Any experience is helpful, thanks!

  • I like saucony, but I would reccomend going to a local running store and get fitted for a shoe. They normally do a gait analysis to see where your foot strike is, arch, etc, and will allow you to try on many shoes before buying. Shoes are very crucial to a successful running program! Good luck!

I would suggest you go to a store that caters to runners. Get yourself properly fitted. No one here can tell you what shoe to buy.
