OK, so the thing is, I want to lose more weight but I don't want to lose more weight. Basically, I'm getting married next month and I already went in to get the dress altered (they will only do it a month before the wedding because brides' bodies will change so much). So they've measured exactly how much to take in, etc. So between now and the wedding, I don't want to get any "smaller" because I want the dress to fit perfectly. I'm at a very healthy weight right now too, which is good, and I think I'm pretty healthy.

However, I do still want to keep up the fitness and improve how I look. SO, I know I should work on toning. Do you guys have any tips on that? And how do I do it in a way that makes sure I'm not also "getting smaller"? Just want firmer, I guess? Tips, anyone?

You can try a beginner fitness video Like denise austin or kathy smith. You usually use 5-7 pound weights. I'm not sure if you will stay the same though. Every body is different. Also try bodybuilding.com and http://exrx.net/Exercise.html

Toning will change your shape. You may even gain a little weight but you will seem a bit smaller. I would just maintain until after the wedding if you're concerned.

I would just try maintaining until the wedding. But if you're still concerned with losing and being smaller, can you possibly by a corset or something that will take up some room in the dress if you do get a little smaller and the dress doesn't fit perfectly anymore? Leave the tags on it so that if you don't end up using it, you can always return it.

I agree, just focus on toming and maintaining. Same work out routine and cals....

Is this a local bridal shop or a big chain? The reason I ask is that local shop will make accommodations for you. Ask if you can have the final measurements taken two weeks before the wedding, rather than a month.
I dropped weight like crazy before my wedding. I have no idea why, but I ate like a lunatic, didn't work out and kept dropping pounds and size. I was under a 100 pounds when I got married and luckily my cousin was working on my dress, so I had my final fitting just days before the wedding.

I don't think it should be a big deal for them the accommodate you. If it is, my suggestion is to up your calories a bit, cut back on some of your cardio and get a good pilates tape which will continue to keep you firm and limber.

And don't gorge on your honeymoon! That was the beginning of the end for me...

If you are at a happy healthy weight, then maintain it is!

Change you MFP info to maintainence (sp) and follow the numbers.

I would keep a good eye on the scale until after the wedding, to be sure it isnt going up!

:flowerforyou: Congrats on weight loss and getting MARRIED!!
