So I have been going at it pretty hard for the past two weeks give or take. Watching what I eat...burning at least 500 cals a day...drinking lots of water.

i step on the scale and it slowly moves.....down ounce by ounce. (yay!)

however when i look in the mirror i feel like i should weigh less. Its like i see so much more of a difference than the scale is telling me. It almost freaks me out because i begin to think my over all goal weight might make me damn near invisable. I even feel lighter.

I am curious if my mind is playing tricks on me or am i feeling this way because its normal? Will I be seeing more of a loss? Does anybody else feel this way??

oh yeah and on days i dont workout i feel like a moose. .....its all in my mind huh?

oye vey.

Don't worry! You are gaining muscle so the mirror shows the correct picture. The scale (well 99% of scales) can't tell the diff between fat and muscle, or water weight. Go by what the mirror tells you, by all means. You might get a tape measure to do body measurements, that is real proof of progress. I can't see much in the mirror and the scale doesn't move much, but my measurements still drop quite a bit. I am currently on hiatus from the gnasty scale!! Keep up the great work!!!

Measurements!!!!! Much more motivating than a temperamental scale :)
  • I see a huge difference in the mirror for myself, but I have lost 23 lbs... I think a lot of it has to do with the way I carry myself now.
