Protein as veggie

hummus, seeded whole wheat bread and eggs are good too! I'm veggie and often find I'm over my protein limit for the day.
I thought hummus is high in carbs?0 -
Beans, tofu and nuts. If you eat dairy include reduced fat cheese and no sugar added greek yogurt. If you eat eggs, well, eat eggs.0

Hey, I'm a veggie and I've been using MFP for the past 2 weeks. I've noticed that I'm always under my protein goal. Has anyone got any suggestion on how to increase my intake?
Have you tried Quinoa? It is a grain but its also a perfect protein and its delicious! Otherwise nuts or beans.0 -

More protein than we need. Too much meat in general and they use that to set the "protein needed" levels.
Full disclosure. Been a vegan for 12 years. Never augmented anything, just switched never had problems. Always checked out fine.
hrmm...
i've followed a protein based diet for a long time now.
How are your blood's?
I'd like to compare them to mine in all honesty. My last 2 years worth of results could not have been better.
I eat 170gm PRO per day, and i eat 75+gm of FAT. The remainder of my calories of course are carbs. Ranging anywhere from 70-80gm to 400gm. Depending on the day.
I guess excellent blood results, and feeling great all the time is unhealthy.0 -

The post you quoted didn't say anything about health. Just said you don't need that much protein, which is correct. It doesn't say you can't eat that much protein. You can have perfect blood numbers eating just about any combination of macros. Having a healthy level of body fat really is the biggest thing you can do for your health.0 -
