MFP have these broken down to consume a % of each. I've heard & read on here more protien less carbs, makes no difference, just use calories, etc., etc. Needing all nutrients how important is it to balance them out. I generaly end up with more protien than anything, but try to get them as even as I can without going over on calories. Any thoughts???

This may be irrelevant to your question but just for information, remember that you need ALL the nutrients in your daily diet. So many people strip their diet down to 40% protein 59.999% carb and leave almost no fat in there. There is a reason for using percentages as its easy to interpret but just make sure your getting a good supply of each nutrient within your calorie ratio and youll be fine. Hope this helps.0

That is why %'s suck. MFP should really move away from it. It should allow the user to manually input P,C,F.
You CAN manually input the macro %'s!!
Just go to change goals, and select custom. You can then change anything you like0 -

^ The problem is that you can only change it in 5% increments, not grams.0 -

Fat and protein are more essential than carbs. Protein is the most satiating. Protein is also more important if you exercise a lot because it will be used to rebuild muscle. Need to be careful with fat but you should eat enough of it. Don't eat trans fat, and limit the omega-6 fat like soybean oil.
Its important to have a good ratio of macro-nutrients because it will prevent excessive hunger and lethargy. If you eat junk food up to your calorie limit, it will be harder to stay in your calorie limit.0 -

Actually, fiber is more satiating and that falls under carbohydrates. The problem with carbs is that people chose the WRONG carbs: wonder bread instead of brown rice, twinkies instead of apples, etc.0
