Seeings how I'm so stupid i can't figure out how to blog, I guess I'll put my little rant here!!

I HATE FOOD!! I HATE this damn diet!! I"m tried of doing this !!!... I've been at this **** for 5 years and while I have lost 75lbs and 30 points on the BMI I'm still Obese according to that thing, and I look the same..only smaller :(
By that I mean I HATE wish I could cut it all off and be DONE, parts of my body. I have the exact same fat deposits that I had at almost 300 lbs.. they are only smaller, my body looks the same. *cries*
I've been 95% on this diet and perfect for a month. And I'm still kicking around 5 pounds...
Maybe it's cause I'm tried.. and well when you wake up hungry at 2:30 in the morning, 2 days in a row, today I gave in and had a bowl of cereal F*8K it. Only so much a person can take..
It's 5 am now and the alarm is fixing to go off in an hour.. .. I wish I was sleeping... *sigh*

I know it seems hard to stay committed when you aren't seeing much progress. But you just have to remember that long-term progress is much more beneficial than short-term progress. I know you are going to say that you have already been at this a long time, but 75 lbs in 5 years is a really slow pace. You opted for that. The only way you are going to see short-term results greater than what you have already seen is if you dive in and go at this hard. Otherwise, you are just going to have to be patient and wait for it. You have done an excellent job at this so far, and whether you decide to push for results or just wait for them, you are going to succeed no matter what. Hang in there, be strong, and be good to yourself because that is the whole point of this in the first place. Message me if you ever need someone to talk to.

I'm sorry you're feeling so frustrated! Try to think of what you've done so far in a different way. For example, I know the 5 years have seemed eternal to you, but there are people on here who have been at it even longer, and can actually look to your 75-pound-loss as an inspiration that makes them think they could possibly start losing, too. You have to try really hard to focus on the positive aspects of eating healthier. For example, you wrote that your fat deposits "are only smaller, my body looks the same", but that's not backward progress, and they are smaller. The previous poster was right; you have a lot to be proud of. If you've been 95% on plan and perfect for a month - assuming your plan works for you - then strive for 99% on plan. Maybe you could look into altering your plan somehow; maybe there's some element in it that's leading to hunger and/or cravings. Your body can't ignore decisive actions. Just remember that if you see this in such a negative light, it will diminish your incredible achievements and make your eventual goals feel like an overt fantasy. See it as achievable, and yourself as achieving it.

I read your profile and am happy to hear that you have both the drive to workout, and a motivating workout partner! Those are both great things!

Congratulations on what you have achieved so far. As you said, you know what you need to do, and it sounds like you are doing it. Keeping turning to MFP for support: we are all here for you!
