I've taken the past ten days off from logging my food. I went out of town, and had limited internet access, then returned and had a hectic week, so today is my first day back.

I know I've eaten more, what with being on vacation and then being under stress after coming back home. I'm curious to see how charting my meals and snacks affects my eating. I met my goal months ago, and I've been on the "maintenance plan," but I'm sure I've gained a little (I only weigh once a month).

I wonder -- how has it been for the rest of you? If you've taken a "calorie-count vacation," how long did it take to get back in your good habits?

I have been slacking since spring break began.

And the scale shows 3 lbs gained.

time to get back into it.

I do well in the morning, it's the evening (alcohol) where I keep messing up.

Gotta shake this. Gotta get back on track. Because I am not in maintenance, I am still trying to lose. :frown:

For me, it seems like almost every day is a "calorie-counter" vacation. I start the day off good and keep track up until about 3 p.m. Then forget it. And I overeat and know I'm overeating, so I tend not to log in my foods, even the next morning. Time to take back control. (Getting tax information together this morning isn't going to help  )

I've been very bad all week as well. I don't think I've really gone over my calories, but the calories I've been putting in have been awful! Well, don't count on tomorrow, but Monday we'll be back on track!!!

i've been exercising way more since spring break began, but i've also drank way more, and it was the boyfriend's birthday week, so WAY more eating, and in some situations, esp. with his family, it's rude to say no to larger portions. i got called out on not eating all my potatoes

I am scared to weigh myself tomorrow morning, but a week to get back on track!

Done that many times. Just have to get back into it. You did well to meet your goal. Holidays are especially bad for me with my extended family seems like I have to eat a holiday meal twice a day all weekend long.

I have not been tracking my calories for a couple of months. I have also given up regular exercise aswell and the result... a 4lb weight gain since January. I am disappointed in myself. I seem to get within 5lbs of my goal and then I stop doing what works and go back to old habits. I lose and gain these same 5lbs over and over. When will I get it together?

Thanks everyone! It's always reassuring to hear that you're not alone!

Happy Easter weekend and good luck to everyone managing calories! I will be eating part of a hollow chocolate bunny tomorrow, but I'll be good and enter those calories! :)
