I'm sure there's already a thread on this, but I'm too lazy to look for it...

Ladies...what did you get your man today?

Chocolates and card; but I get home before him, so I'll probably light some candles, pour some wine and dress up. We're going away this weekend, so I figure we can do the whole "us" weekend thing.

My guy and I don't do the whole gift thing..we are both quality time people. He's cooking dinner and we are going hiking in some caves this weekend. The weekend will be our Valentine's :)

He's my crush~I asked him out immediately after founding out my friend (who I thought also liked him) didn't like him...Not just that, but we are all exchange students. I thought she was here for 2 years like my crush...Ends up she is only here for 1 year like I am. I was like, "Foook dude!"

    Anywho...I got him:
    -box of chocolates
    -heart box of ferrero rocher
    -chocolate bar
    -few things of gummies
    -decorative mochi (japanese pastry things)
    -stuffed animal
    -binder

if we were boyfriend/girlfriend I would have gotten him more :smooched: I LOVE giving gifts to the people I love. >_<

I got my boyfriend a nice card and these really awesome Oakley sunglasses he's been wanting. He'd never buy them for himself, so I think he'll be really happily surprised :)

We did our nice fancy Valentine's dinner this past weekend, and with work, my son's t-ball practice, etc, we'll probably just exchange gifts, have a glass of champagne, and watch Biggest Loser tonight. SO romantic haha

Chocolate and a card... both of which are still sitting on the table, untouched.

Happy 100th Birthday, Arizona! I've decided that's the only good thing about today's date this year.

It's just been one of those days.

He's out of town, so I sent him flowers and chocolates. He'll be embarrassed (he'll be at work), but I know he'll be happy I'm thinking of him when he's away.

    I made something like this - http://pinterest.com/pin/90635011220515984/

But, used brown paper and twine. So cute! And - he gets to share with his coworkers, so they aren't laying around the house for me to eat!!
  • My husband and I are leaving today to go to Florida and stay with his parents for a week, so we did V day last weekend, I made him a "52 things I love about you book" (google it) He isn't big into presents so he loved that it was a hearfelt gift and not just another "thing" to have around. I also upgraded our seats to first class for our flight today, but he wont find out until we get to the airport!

I got my boyfriend a decanter, I got his name engraved on it, and on the back I got "I still love you....a**hole." I also got him two large tumbler glasses with his initials engraved on them, and a bottle of Johnny Walker Blue Label to put in the decanter. I spent a little over four hundred on him, but he definitely deserved it. He almost cried when he saw it all.

Everything sounds awesome! You ladies did great :)

I'm extremely last minute today and I needed some ideas. He's in the process of building a new computer that we bought all of the parts for this week, so that's *kind of* a gift... but I still gotta get him a card and some other goodies!

One thing that I think really helps is to look at his horoscope...try astrodienst for a free personalized horoscope (need his birth time though)...it will show you were most of his traits are located...

For instance, my sun sign (what horoscopes in the stores usually go by) is in Aquarious...but I have a lot of Capricorn as well ^^

See his top signs and then look up, "Gift ideas for _____ (ex. Aquarious)" I really like the typical "weird," "unconventional," shiny aquarious stuff...but tend to go for Cancer's. I've learned the horoscope gift ideas really do work. When I buy stuff I would like (weird) I don't get as positive a reaction as when I gift conventional or sentimental gifts to them for example haha :)

We usually just do cards. Somehow, every year, in January, we manage (or I manage) to get a bigger ticket item early, so we just count those as Valentine's Day presents. Not to mention, my birthday is February 3, so it all kind of rolls together. Last year, between the two holidays, it was a new laptop and a new bookshelf. This year, we both upgraded our cell phones, so we counted those as our presents :-) I got us a few nice steaks the other night that we will have for dinner, along with baked potatoes and sauteed green beans. Yummo! Oh, and he gets lucky. Really, that's all men want. Ask any man and they will tell you.... ;-)

Hubby isn't much for sweets, so instead I usually get him some protien bars and energy drinks, any other interesting supplements I find that he might like. And we are going away to a bed an breakfast for a night on the weekend :)
