Hi! Is anyone else out there trying to plan super bowl meals and munchies.:drinker: I want to have fun with my hubby, kids and friends, but I also don't want to work 2 weeks to get back to where I started. I love the layered bean dip at costco, but I don't think that I can eat it now. I definately will enjoy the game! My plan is to exercise enough to make up for eating things that I normally wouldn't. Will probably do one Cardio DVD & then ride my stationary bike. I did the same thing for Thanksgiving & Christmas and it kept my loss in check. GO GIANTS!:drinker:0

GO GIANTS GO!!!! I really haven't thought that far in advance about super bowl food. I have been watching football every weekend, 3 games a day, and we never eat a lot during the games. He is trying hard to lose weight too. I think my plan is to exercise off any extra calories I might over eat.0

I have 2 thoughts on Super Bowl Sunday.
My first one is a comercial that I have seen that have the kids that say. You are not going to SUPER SIZE ME! This alone makes me want to make as healthy eats as I can for that day.
However I know that I am not the only one that is going to be there, so I have to go back to my other thought. :ohwell:
And that is everything in moderation.
Enjoy the bean dip, but enjoy only a spoon of it. (I MEAN 1! not 2! not 12! ONE!) Have the piece of cake that looks like a football. One piece 1/2 the size you normally eat.
Now, advise from one of our doctors. I LOVE HER SHE IS SO WISE!
Keep all of the goodies in the kitchen. and use flimsy plates.
This means that you can not load up on all that is offered and you have to walk back and forth to get the food. You also have to sit to eat, which makes you mindful of what you are eating.
Also, make a veggie platter, with low fat plain yogurt as the dip. You can do the same with at as sour cream and it has the digestive inzimes in it to aid in food intake.
I also have a few games of my own that I will be playing. It is called a bite for each touchdown. Or a word. Like amazing or wonderful or one of the silly sayings that the sports casters say.
I am hopeing that this also makes me think about what I am eating and how much I am eating.

Enjoy the game. You can do that and enjoy all the treats. Don't go crazy but enjoy it. There is no reason that you cannot have a reward day to enjoy the game with family and friends . If you can get some exercise before the game or after that will help also. Enjoy and don't stress it to much.0

I have spent a lot of Sundays at my local BW3 watching football and when I'm trying to watch what I eat I'll have the naked tenders. You could totally make them at home and they would be a good football snack to have at your party! Basically they're just grilled chicken tenders with buffallo sauce for dipping.0

Making buffalo wings but instead of deep frying we bake them, serve with low-fat blue cheese and I only eat a few but eat a lot of carrots and celery.
I agree with everyone who said it's ok to enjoy, remember all things in moderation. And workout to make up the calories.
GO GIANTS! :happy:0 -
A good one my aunt told me to try is to eat a bite for every commercial that DOESN'T make you laugh, or even smile.
Because Super Bowl isn't about the game, it's about the commercials!0 -
I'm a huge nachos fan so I'll plan that for my day.
My church is having a superbowl party so my plan will be to bring the veggies and lite dip. I'm sure there are others that will be trying to eat healthy as well.0 -
Wow, a lot of Giants fans!!
GO PATS :bigsmile:0 -
