Anyone else have a kryptonite weight?

I have some emotional issue about hitting 55 pounds lost. It is a half way to my first really big goal of 110 pounds lost, but I should be excited instead every time I get to 54 pounds lost I blow it and gain back like 9 pounds. I have been fighting this same battle since Christmas.
Tomorrow I am banning my scale. I think I will ask the hubby to hide it so I am not tempted. I am not sure what I am scared of, but I am hoping by banning the scale and only weighing in once a month (on the 15th my MFP anniversary) I will just focus on eating and exercising.

I seem to hit the 155 pound mark and then it jumps back up to 160s-170s. I was 150 when my husband and I were married in 2002 and in a size 5, but I just can't seem to break that mark. Not sure why, but like you I think I may just hide the scale and work my butt off.0
