Wasn't it just Christmas?

Hope everyone has a wonderful day planned - with lots of family time, some eating, and a little exercise.

Yesterday: walk/jog & yoga, Today: bike ride or walk & yoga - and lots of eating.

Easter Boogaloo,

Mary

:noway: Yes, I think it was!

Anyway, Hoppy Easter, my peeps. (a pun is the lowest form of humour)

I'm doing something radical this time, due to the fact that everyone (including my personal trainer and my life coach, who I pay to push me) is saying that I'm pushing myself too hard. Sample quote: "sitting around feeling guilty that you're resting is not resting."

So, my goal is to push myself less hard. That involves setting goals that are challenging because they don't feel challenging. Here goes:

Some workout (either cardio, yoga, full body strength, spin or something. . .) for two days, followed by a day off. On the "day off", I can walk or do 30mins of yoga . I toyed with the idea of a thirty day nothing but yoga challenge, but decided I wasn't ready for that. Maybe this summer when I have a chance to feel more still in general. . .

    and

A daily journaling exercise. I write five things in each of the following categories: "I am grateful for. . ." and "I am a person who. . ."

And that's it. I'm also going to lay low on the sugar intake and try to keep off the wheat, and consistently work on my current academic project.

So, I now have to follow my own sign-off. . .

Take care of yourselves. . .:flowerforyou:

    Happy Easter, pebbles!

I've been feeling like a stupid teenager lately. It's amazing how much of our physical issues are really intellectual and emotional ones. I started to post something here, but decided to put it in a blog entry instead:

    Have a wonderful day, all.

Hey everyone! I hope everyone had an awesome Easter.

I did pretty well this weekend for it being a holiday. Did the wii fit both days and didn't eat as much as I usually do on the holidays.

I have a goal for the week. Get up early every day and catch up in my lit class (I'm about 3 classes behind).

I hope you all had a good day! Mine was okay I guess. I still have fluid in both ears and my nose is still needing to be blown through out the day and I still have sinus drainage. Okay, done complaining. lol I think if I am not better by the middle of the week I may go to a doc or something. Alex is definitely different since being off the meds, both good and bad. He's crying more and screaming more (even when he's in a good mood and screaming for fun), but he's also more active. He was doing imaginary play tonight with his Nemo and Dori stuffed animals which is excellent! Also at church, in the nursery, one of the workers said she's never seen him like that. He was climbing on things and he was very interactive! Praise the Lord! I am hoping some of this will balance out over the next few days as his body adjusts. Over all I think it's good!
I've been thinking about my goals and I haven't really set too many. I couldn't get close to my goals last time, so I decided not to set it too high. So here it goes:
first goal-less time on the computer. I will be posting with you all, checking my email, maybe checking the weather and, if I need to,write an email. I will only do it when Alex is not awake, so I will be able to use my time efficiently while I am on it.
second goal-fast one lunch a week/ eat fruit or veggies only (spiritual reasons)
third goal- exercise 3-5X a week
That's it. I think I can stick with these a little easier. I am at a point in my life that I need to look at my priorities and shift them around as needed.
CP, I'm proud of you girl for finishing your push ups! That's way awesome! Did you put your name on the list on the hundred pushups site? I did. Not that anyone will notice with the list being as long as it is.
Vivia, I'm glad to hear you will be slowing down some. I think you will find it beneficial.
To everyone else I hope you had a good weekend!
    See you all tomorrow!
