MFP has my daily limits set at 2,500mg of sodium a day. Does that seem high to anyone else!? Is sodium intake the same for everyone, or does it vary depending on how many cals you are set for? Im at a NET of 1,460 cals a day.

Not really sure where MFP get's their daily allowance recommendation but the USDA says that the daily allowance for sodium is 2400mg, so right around MFP levels. Everybody on MFP has the same number for sodium. That being said, I personally only try to get around 1500mg of sodium per day. If I go above 2000mg I start to see effects of water weight gain ect.
Hope that helped!0 -
I agree with the above post. Ive always heard that a good number to stay around with daily sodium intake is about 1500mg.0
