On your taxes? Your spouse? In Monopoly? NO!!

On your "diet" - yes. There have been a lot of posts with concerns about cheating this weekend, and here are my thoughts from someone who has been there.... you can "cheat", here and there, without much consequence. I lost all 30 lbs of fat with lots of treats BUILT into my daily calories! If you go over 200 cals today, no big deal, but plan to go 200 under sometime this week.

IMHO, it is what you do for 90% of the time that makes the big difference, and in the other 10% you can cheat a little.

A little...

I love the food logger for this very reason. I used to say...oh today I can cheat and it would turn into a year.

NOW it is staring me in the face. I log whatever I eat-seeing is believing!

    Thanks A for sharing!!

Of course it's okay! That is part of living with this program. 200 calories over 5 weeks is 40 calories a week. Nothing. Do an extra run one day this week, and don't count it in your exercise log, or purposefully go under 200 one day. Good zig zagging anyway!

Thanks for sharing, I had a bad day this past week, I ate like 12 cookies, a BOX of crackers and a whole tub of spreadable chhese in one afternoon. I felt really bad after that (a little sick too!) but I decided to just consider it my one cheat day and not give in next time. It's nice to have the support of MFP's when this kind of thing happens.

    is it OK to cheat?

it is OK to do anything if you are willing to pay the price

I have said before..I hate the word cheat...so I use the word treat instead

    treat yourself dont
    cheat yourself

Hahahaha - I KNEW this would get a response from you!

Treat yourself my friend.... that is a preferred use of language... like removing the word "try" from one's vocab...

Yes, I treat often and have maintained my weight for a year now
The problem with SOME of us is that treat turns into 2 treats then 3 treats and 'we' tend to go overboard

BUT everyday is a new day
If u have a day like that, as I did yesterday...
I'm going to be sure to eat well and work out (extra hard) today

It is ok to cheat as long as it is'nt on your other half! I actually spoke to a nutritionist/pf trainer and it is ok to cheat. His advice was pick a day, cheat at one of your favorite meal times, but only cheat at the one sitting. My cheat night is Friday night pizza.
