Spike days?

Wondering how people feel about 'spike' days. As of now I'm regulating calories six days a week, and then one day - depending on my current affairs - allowing for a calorie uptake. I've heard that this can be healthy when dieting - curious if anyone out there practices this and what the results are?

i do it every week, i save calories then use them for a treat...... has no effect on my weight loss.
i go by calories over the week rather than focus to direct on daily, and i only ever weigh myself once a week
hope this helps

Yeah, I can eat 1200 a day in order to lose 2lb a week.
I eat around 1000 a day and burn about 500 at the gym 5 days a week, this means...
Friday and Saturday I can have wine and take away!!
This can come to 2500 cals but I’m still under my weekly goal because of the work I have done (and calories saved) in the week. I have been doing this since May last year and have lost 31 lb, I have 6lb to go then will try to maintain.
Hope this helps x0
