Weight really isn't important to me and if I weighed a ton but was a size 10 to 12 I would be happy (I have curves and I want to keep them) So in an effort to try and decide my ULTIMATE goal size I have been looking around and...
The other day I found a website through MFP (((and now I can't find it)))) but basically you would put in your height and weight and your "goal size or weight" and your shape and it would come up with pictures of real women with their stats and you could get a "general" idea of what you could look like at that weight. I put in 220 (which is the weight I was when I was most happy) and most of the women were my current size if not bigger. I am still over 80 pounds from this "goal" weight so I was just wondering if my stats are normal...
I am currently at 302 pounds, 5'5, with a large frame....I wear a size 20 in jeans and 22/24 in shirts. When I was at my highest weight 378 I was 26/28 in both tops and pants. So for ladies who were or are my weight what were or are your stats so I can kind of get an idea. I would like to set an ultimate "size" goal instead of weight and I think this would help....
Thanx for reading :flowerforyou: Hope to get some feedback....

No, set weight and body fat goals.
You need something you can track weekly - not some nebulous "size".
You will fail with this approach.
Get a scale and track body fat - here for free:

And aim for a weight in the "normal healthy" range of BMI.
Don't set yourself up to stumble.0 -
I'm 5'7, and when I was ~240 I was like size 24 jeans/pants and a 22 or 24 in a top at Lane Bryant--which would be really different from where you are. BUT, clothing manufacturers differ a lot in terms of sizes, and they are constantly messing with them. I haven't been that big in almost a decade. I know, even now, I wear anything from a medium to an extra large depending on where I'm shopping, the cut, etc. Also, I always wear my clothes a little big, so part of the discrepancy might be that. All of that said, I agree with Max, don't set your mind on a clothing size. I try to aim for a healthy, active livestyle with good eating habits, and not worry too much about the tag.0

Youre right, and I do have my body fat measured by my trainer every month...in fact I went down 6% ...so I am totally keeping that in mind...thanx0 -
vanity sizing makes goal sizes sort of useless, imo. the last time i went to goodwill for pants, i had to keep browsing between three numbers (and sometimes the smaller numbers would fit better than the larger ones).0

Lane Bryant is actually where I do shop. But you are both right, it should be a focus on healthy and so forth. I just don't want to be one of the those people that focus so much as what the scale says. The other day I was reading a poster who was upset that they had gained 3 pounds but had dropped a size... and I couldn't understand that mentality. I totally will be focusing on body fat and so forth...I guess I was just looking for a gauge0 -
If you're looking for a gauge other than a scale or body fat (although this is probably a good one), you could measure yourself. Unlike clothing sizes, the measuring tape stays the same "size" but it may give you some measure of progress. Congrats on the body fat loss by the way.0

This is probably the website you are referring to:

Let's see. Last time I was at ~220 I wore about
16/18 in skirts (14W or 16W)
Dresses: 16/18 (14W)
Tops: Cotton L or XL, silk/blouses/whatever: XL, 1X, 2X, XXL
Bra: 36H of 38FF/G
Jean: 18 or 20
I am 5'4.5" and my body shape is pear with big breasts. Basically. I am not really an hourglass, my shoulders are narrower than my hips. And I have HUGE quads. So I definitely go up a size in pants. The waist is generally too big for me. I definitely have gapping in the waist most of the time. At my heaviest basically, the waist started fitting in my clothing, and the thighs were tight.
I rarely shop at Lane Bryant. They are cut a little strange for me. I wear 14/16/18 in clothing and tops generally do not fit me (cut all wrong, too big in the waist.)
At around 180 I was about 12/14 (this was 10 years ago. No clue on my measurements then)
In high school my measurements were about 30-31 inch waist, 40-41 inch hips and that was generally about a size 14.
I have a goal size of 10-12 too. Goal weight is around 165. Goal measurements: 27-28 inch waist, 38-39 inch hips (or thereabouts)0
