I joined this site 3 weeks ago, really just looking for a way to better track my daily calories on my phone and Ipad and found that the forums and blogs can be motivating for that inevitable cycle that we all go through every now and then of being bored with our workout, frustrated with our scale, or just tired of chocolate protein powder and eggs.
I have been a gym rat since I was 15, about 18 years now and see my goals and motivation changing. I'm hoping to be motivated to try new workouts and new routines. Just last week last month I started a new P90X style class at my Gym because my buddy teaches it and it's something the wifey and I can do together. I would not have been caught dead in a "Gym Class" before this. I have always built my own routines and lifted to be the biggest dog on the block, but as I age and joints hurt from the excessive weight lifting over the years I find that I am excited about this "new to me" type of general fitness rather than just "Weight Lifting".
Part of the cool aspect of this site is the "group" feel. We can do it "together" atmosphere. I hope to learn a few things from you all and I'm always here to help out in any way I can.
