Guilty feelings every time I eat...

Sounds stupid, but how do I stop beating myself up everytime I eat something that's high in fat/calories? Even though I'm under my calorie goal most days, I still feel guilty!

Just know that this is about life, not just weight. Do you want to give up the rest of your life just for one part of it, your weight? Probably not. Know that living life is the most important thing, and that losing the weight is supposed to make that better, not worse, so enjoy the food you have when you have it. If you don't enjoy your perhaps less healthy choices, that's when you're wasting them. :)
  • If you are under your calorie goal, eat lots of healthy things, and indulge sometimes, that's just fine! I agree with firesoforion - this is about having a happy, healthy self mentally and physically. Enjoy your treats!

I sometimes feel the exact same way. I also feel guilty if I can't workout as much as I'd like to because my muscles are sore. It's difficult, but I think we need to cut ourselves a break. I keep reminding myself that food is good...up to my calorie limit for the day. :)

You'll overcome. I had the same issue the first month I started this journey so I wouldn't touch anything cheesy or chocolate. I realized though that it is okay to have my favorite foods in moderation and work them into my daily routine. I happily indulged in some Girl Scout cookies this week and didn't feel an ounce of guilt about it. :-)
