Hey everyone, new to MFP and wish I would have found it sooner. I'm a firefighter from Ontario Canada, and I started trying to lose weight, and get into better shape back in October/November by myself. It's been a rough go, with major ups and downs. I started at 210lbs and last week when I joined MPF I was at 183lbs.

I'm reaching my goal of 170 and now that I can actually see how much garbage I'm eating, and being held personally accountable for it, I can't wait to see what happens! Then after that, if I can replace that 25-30lbs of fat with muscle, I will have reached my goals.

I'm looking to join any support groups that are out there, or just get a few people on my friends list to add to that accountability. So drop me a line if you are interested!

Jay

LOL My uncle's a fire chief. He definitely could lose a few (and he knows it...he's the best but he resembles Mario)

Lol, being overweight isn't always a bad thing tho. Sometimes it can put the extra weight behind you that you need to accomplish something. Just doesn't help when you've got to run around a fire scene. But then again, he's the chief, he doesn't run :):)

My Uncle was a fireman here in Vancouver a few years back. Feel free to add me if you'd like.
