Hi, my calorie goal is set at 1200, but I have a hard time meeting 1000. I just recently (a week) started to try and eat more healthy and I think I'm being too cautious as to what I put in my body. But because of that I'm not eating enough. I also exercise sporadically throughout the week whenever I find time, and then I really don't eat enough. I've tried doing a lot of research and it doesn't seem like any food is safe, someone always has something negative to say about a food product (like milk or whole wheat bread). So things I thought were safe now seem like they are off limits. I'm a college student on a really tight budget and a tight schedule. My classes are at different times of the day and sometimes right into normal eating hours. How can I start eating the proper amount of calories but not break my bank? Thanks :)

  • Hi! I would definitely recommend protein shakes. They're affordable, healthy, and can get you up to your caloric goals. Target or Walmart sells a huge canister of protein mix (EAS Lean 15) that has little to no sugar, 15 g of protein, and 5 grams of fiber, for under 20.00. It will last quite a while! Throw in some frozen fruit, a spoon of peanut butter, and your good to go! Adding a few spoonfuls of sugar free pudding mix makes the consistency like a creamy milkshake and will help keep you full. The best part is you can make one and carry it with you in a water bottle. Good luck!
