I like to chew a lotta gum especially when under stress, it calms me down and sometimes takes away the hunger. I heard from a few friends that chewing gun can actually lead to weight loss. Does it really shed some pounds or adds? And what other effects could it have?

Chewing gum doesn't do anything to help or hinder your weight loss. It's just gum. Nothing magic about it.
I chew a lot of gum because it helps me not be hungry between meals... however it's purely a psychological thing. The gum doesn't actually DO anything except taste sweet and occupy my mouth.0
