Hey!!! My name is Megan. I just joined 4 days ago and just now getting a chance to check out the message boards!!!

I am 25, almost 26, married and a mom to a 3.5 year old girl. I am a stay-at-home mom which has apparently caught up with me here lately. I decided that 2012 is going to be MY year and I will get myself and my butt into gear and lose some weight.
I am currently sitting at 184lbs (OMG) such an ugly number. I am doing the ViSalus shakes and I workout on my weight machine for 30 to 45 minutes a day. I try to get in some cardio but I prefer weights!!!
In March I am taking a self defence course and a weight hula hoop class so hopefully that will help kick start my weight loss. I will continue hooping at home!
I am completely uncoordinated so Zumba is not an option lol And anything that I can do in my own home is much more convienent! I have been thinking of starting Turbo Jam but I don't think I have enough room in my family room to do it, I will see!
Anyway, that is me in a nut shell... Or a couple paragraphs! LOL.
Add me as a friend if you want.

(I will add a picture asap)!!!

Hey nice to have you as part of the MFP team of healthy people. I dont have much room in my house either but I move the coffee table out of the way and I am left with a a 8 x 8 area about. I found that I stop making excuses for myself I have at times stopped the DVD and went out to the garage to do a particular move that I may not be able to do in my house or I modify it to work with the room that I have. I do P90X and Insanity and they both require a little room and I make it work.
  • Hi. My name is Maria. I have struggled with weight my whole life. :( The healthiest was when I was training for half marathons and a full marathon. Even then, I wasn't a skinny mini. :) Currently I'm living in Beijing, and I have access to so many great foods from all around the world. My goal is to stop using food for my emotions and to socialize with and start using it for what it was created for. This journey will all be mind over matter, but looking forward to the encouraging community of MFP.
