How much exercise is too much exercise?

I eat between 1200 -1400 calories a day. I walk off 700 calories a day and now that I have received my fitbit, it is telling me that my daily activities are burning off between 400-700 calories a day. I am typically losing 1/2 to 1 1/2 pounds a day, but I am just starting out (26.6 lbs since Dec 27th.). Any thoughts?

    Exercise is not the problem.

    You are not eating enough.

1 pound a day is not sustainable and you are losing lean muscle, which is going to affect your metabolism.

When you are so exhausted you start sacrificing good form & start to feel ill then you know doing too much. All need a day of rest. Now a day of rest can be 'active' rest meaning you may not exercise but garden, bowling, play a game like ping-pong you get the idea.

This!!! I know people like to lose the weight as fast as possible but it just isn't the best way.. You sacrifice lean muscle mass as well as fat and in the end it will slow your metabolism down and it will ultimately take time to repair it if you keep going at this pace... I can tell you it sucks taking it off a pound or 2 a week especially when you have to lose over 300 lbs. but in the end it was so worth the longevity and now 32 months into my journey I am eating more food (3200-3400 calories a day) and am still losing 1 pound a week.... Heck 2 weeks ago I lost 5 1/2 lbs. in one week (had not done that in months) So speaking from my experience if it was me I would rethink your weightloss and get to eating some more food and slow your weightloss down some, you will be happier in the long run...... Good luck to you........
