Hey lovely ladies. Just lookin' for some support on MFP.

I'm 5'1 about 113-114 pounds. I'm 24 years old. Hoping to lose about 5 more pounds by exercise and healthy eating. I'm interested in toning up. Right now I'm running about 4 miles, 5 days a week with some circuit training. I also love dance aerobics. NO JOKE. Haha.

Anyway, what are your goals? What's workin' for ya?

Just trying to find some fitness buddies!

  • Hi I am 5'0.5 I used to be 5'1 !!!!!!!!!! I weigh about 116 right now and want to get back to about 108. I am 53 but my kid's friends think I am about 40 ! So a young 53. I have always worked out and was an Equestrian from the time I was a small child into my early 20's. It has always been such a big deal to me to be thin and I have never been one of those people who can eat what they want and not worry about their weight. Once a few years ago I had to have 4 shoulder surgeries and I got down to 86lb's then leveled out at 98 pounds which I loved but friends and my husband thought I looked too thin. Anyway to stay that light I would have to stop eating and move to the gym!!! It is hard being this short every pound counts and 5 pounds and our clothes are tight. One word of advice I now focus on eating healthy and feeding my body rather than dieting . I love to make blended drinks with Kale, Micro greens, pineapple, blueberry , banana, chi seeds and udo oil. If I have this once a day I know I have gotten in all my fruits, veggies, good fats and fiber for the day and I feel great!!

Thanks for the post! I totally agree about every 5 pounds showing on short frames. I am at my lightest right now and I still have 5 more pounds that refuse to go. I guess I just have to be patient. It's so much harder losing weight at this point! Gosh.. 86 lbs?? YIKES. Glad you're better.

I've heard a lot about kale but I'm too much of a weenie to try it!
