Hello community!
I've only been on here about 10 days and I'm already blown away by the success stories and how much kindness and support that can be found here.
I found myfitnesspal when one of my friends used it and lost 25 lbs in 9 weeks.

My story with weight is long, complicated, and frustrating--Up until I was 25 I probably could have been considered somewhat anorexic, and then I started putting weight on because I was in a very unhappy marriage. Then I took the weight off, and kept it off for many years, then put it on again when I was given a specific antidepressant (and they neglected to tell me that weight gain was a side effect. Fantastic. The best thing to do to a depressive is have them gain weight. /sarcasm). Then I changed medication, took half the weight off, and was on my way to getting back to where I was, then crashed on my mountain bike and separated my shoulder, so I was off my bike and sedentary, and gained the 25 lbs back. Then I got on my bike again and within 2 months got pneumonia, and was bedridden, and gained more weight. Ugh. I've gained and lost within that 40 lb area so many times. This time I want to keep it off, and it seems this is the way to take it off and keep it off once and for all.

I've found so far that this isn't as horrible as I thought it would be. I'm eating just as healthy as I was before-- just a bit less and making better choices. I don't feel like I'm on a diet, I just feel like I'm finally having a better "relationship" with food.

Well, that's about it. Your stories are truly inspiring, and as much as I am enjoying the support of random people who have friended me, I hope to return the support to anyone who needs it.
