Chinese Take Out Question

I love Chinese food. What is everyone's general opinion on it? I want to stop at my favorite place and get some buffet to go for lunch after I'm done shopping tomorrow, and as long as I stick to more veggies, less meat and steer clean of fried and sweet stuff, do you think I will be ok? I'm pretty familiar with their food (ask my chub, it knows it well too, lol) so I think I can do it.

I really think it will be more about how MUCH of it you eat than anything else. Portion size will probably be your biggest thing to watch!

Anything steamed is a good idea (most likely NOT made with extra oil). Steamed white rice and steamed chicken and broccoli is a good choice. Not too fun but its fuel.

But eh...when I go, its usually the buffet and I just try to eat light before and then splurge a bit while there.

I LOVE sesame chicken. I even downloaded a recipe to make it myself. WHOOPS, there's anywhere between 1/4 - 1 cup of sugar in the sauce. so watch out for even slightly sweet tasting sauces, they may contain way more sugar than you imagine...
  • I'm going to try. I think as long as I stay away from fried food, heavy, thick sauces and the stuff I know is sweet, I'll be ok. I'm going to get the buffet to go so I am not tempted to overdo it.
